How did you start in the logistics industry?
Truly, I didn’t know what the term ‘Logistics’ meant; it was a ‘mere goods transportation process’ for me.
After earning my degree in Engineering (Computer Science), I was presented with an opportunity to stand in for my family business and learn.
This was the outset of my journey in the logistics space.
A fresh industry for me, Logistics captured my interest with time and I absorbed myself to learn and gain experience while working on various positions and moving forward with my enhanced capabilities.
Being exposed to various roles and responsibilities, I acquired the necessary skills and expertise with time which has further helped me to lead the team at Transpeed Cargo Pvt. Ltd.
Learning all of this has not only allowed me to gain a larger view of the industry but has helped me understand and appreciate the importance of the industry and its role in supply chain management.
The journey has been quite enriching and I am enjoying every chapter of it.

How has the global pandemic affected the company?
Covid-19 has taken a toll on companies’ health and everyone has been affected by the pandemic.
We too were at a halt during the early days of the pandemic, but our proficiency and industry know-how helped us to swim swiftly amidst the unfavorable times.
We invested our time and efforts to modify our approach and strategize accordingly and as a result, we bounced back, strongly.
I am proud to touch the turnover mark of one crore in 2020 and we are rejuvenating well.
The pandemic also encouraged us to outline our few projects that are in pipeline and will be launched by the end of this year.
India saw its worst days during the second wave of the coronavirus and is struggling with a shortage of medical oxygen.
In this tough situation, we are doing our best to help fill gaps in the supply of oxygen by retooling our processes.
We have airlifted thousands of Oxygen concentrators from around the world, bringing them to India and are continuously putting in our best efforts.
At present, we are also chartering aircrafts to airlift Oxygen concentrators specially.

What are your future plans?
My priorities are all shifted towards one goal- our growth. We are looking ahead to add more technology-rich services, platforms to our portfolio while eyeing on expanding our market share.
Also, I am looking forward to increasing our human strength, which currently sits at 30+.
What piece of learning would you like to share with us?
I have seen many ups and downs during my academic years and at the beginning of my professional voyage; I have failed miserably. I learnt from the failures and put my best shot in dedicating myself to learn and try hard to become a person that I am today. Your failures doesn’t imply that you are destined to be unsuccessful; every loss leads to an opportunity and every adversity leads to a new possibility. Always believe in your struggles and approach. Even if you feel confused, don’t stop yourself from trying and testing the waves.
